About ManTek Insights

ManTek Insights is the engineering blog of ManTek Technologies — a web engineering company in Dubai. We build and run WordPress + AWS systems for media-scale publishing, and we're building NUZ, a cloud-native publishing platform for newsrooms.

What you'll find here

Field notes from production — not theory. Expect writing on:

• WordPress as real infrastructure — not a plugin pile, but a system you can load-test, cache, and reason about.
• The edge — Cloudflare, CDNs, and serving fast from everywhere.
• AWS at scale — S3, CloudFront, Lambda, and the architecture behind a newsroom that stays up on its busiest day.
• Keeping publishing calm when the story breaks — performance, resilience, and the unglamorous discipline that keeps sites online.

We write in plain language. If a non-technical reader can follow it, we've done our job.

Who's behind it

ManTek was founded by Jaafar Abazid, who spent 16 years in media — five of them keeping a pan-Arab newsroom online through breaking news and traffic spikes. That experience is the spine of how we build: media-grade, calm under load, and honest about trade-offs.

The name is a small piece of logic itself: ManTek = human + technology, echoing the Arabic منطق (man·tiq) — "logic". Human logic, scalable technology.
